A collection of fourteen authentic songs and stories about "America's First River" featuring traditional ballads and true tales drawn from first hand accounts.
The Hudson River Ramblers, Jonathan Kruk and Rich Bala, transform the Hudson River's distinctive and multifaceted heritage into lively stories and songs. Inspired by its majestic beauty and colorful history, they began working together in 1991, and have performed at hundreds of historic sites, schools, museums, libraries and festivals from Manhattan to Mount Marcy. They created programs to celebrate Earth Day, the Quadricentennial, the American Revolution's 225th Anniversary and the 40th anniversary of the environmental flagship Clearwater. Their CD "Revolution on the River" was named "Best CD of 2001" by Hudson Valley Magazine.
